Rebecka and I arrived from Landvetter by taxi, the driver didn't really know where Wenngarn Slott was, and we seemed to arrive by a back route. He assured us however that the building was yellow so it must be a Slott!
Riks Sverige Museer vårmötet was the first conference to be held at Wenngarn Slott, once a royal palace then a home for recovering alcoholics, now a property with 70 buildings spread over 35 hektar. See here for the Kringla image and information about Wenngarn, and here for a link to their own website. Well worth a visit - even if you are not going to a conference.
SFTs årsmöte was held in a meeting room in the conference section of the hotel. Clean and fresh with excellent coffee! There were only 13 of us present, and we ran through the agenda in due order. Augusta Persson, Anna Javer and Casja Hallgren will leave the styrelse. Anna Stålbring, Anna Adrian and Maria Franzon will join. Augusta and Anna J will replace Ingeborg and Catharina as vallberedning, and Linda Egnell joins Anna-Lena as revisör.
We also approved applications for ordinary membership from members who are already associated, there were no new members.
Susanna Höberg is a member of an NKF working group and presented their response to the current review of Kulturminneslag. We will be sharing the text with you soon.
Then it was time to go and join our friends in NKF in a building called Bollhallen to enjoy presentations about the evacuation of the collections from Nordiska Museum during the rebuilding, stained glass restoration at Uppsala Cathedral, symbolism in Chinese damask used in banners that are part of the Arme museum collection* and work on a dictionary for church inventory (Kyrkliga Föremål - beskrivande lexikon)

Since there were only 13 of us present, I would like to ask on behalf of the styrelse why you could not attend - wrong day of the week, don't work in a museum, wrong location? Let us know in the comments section, or send an email.
