![]() In a little follow on from my visit to SMK, this was one of my favourite paintings on display. I was going to have a little quiz and see if anybody knew what she was doing (she has an extra long crochet hook in her hand), but I have found the answer - Tunisian crochet, see how to here and I am sure all over the web. What is it called in Swedish? Can anybody teach me how to do it? More images of textile crafts in art? Check out this pinterest page. More works of art from SMK here on Google Art Project, and also on the museum website 160 works available for free download.

If you haven't got your answer already, it's called "krokning" in Swedish. :)
